Aquacentrum Šutka is newly opened, one of the most modern swimming pool complexes not only in Prague but also in the Czech Republic.
Construction of the swimming pool complex started at the end of 1987 and the construction was supposed to finish in 1994. The construction works were getting slow due to limited financial means and in particular because there were asserted restitution claims. In 2001, the restitution claims were solved and the Prague municipality became an owner of all sites. In September 2010 construction works, the aim of which was to finish the swimming pool complex started again and on 13 December 2012, the swimming complex was opened for test operation. The official opening of the Aquacentrum Šutka was on 17. 1. 2013. Representatives of the Prague municipality and administering company TRADE CENTRE PRAHA, a. s. opened the complex by cutting a ribbon.
Presently the Aquacentrum Šutka can offer to visitors not only 50 m swimming pool but a whirling pool, a wild river, 2 toboggans, a waterfall, a relaxation pool, a paddling pool for children and a water bar with refreshment as well. For wellness, enthusiasts there are two Finnish saunas with cooling outdoor pools and two steam baths. In summer months, you can relax on the outdoor terrace with an amazing view over Prague and for the rest of the year you can enjoy a lot of fun and relax in cover premises. The Aquacentrum Šutka is open daily all year round. The whole complex is barrier-free. The parking area has a capacity for 270 cars, or you can use the near bus stop “Čimický háj”.
