Building Na Florenci 19, 21, Prague 1 so-called “Desfourský palác” was built in late Classic Revival style in the years 1845- 1847 by Josef Kranner for the count Desfours-Walderode in newly developed area, near demolished town fortification on the corner obtusangularly deviating street at present named Na Florenci, opposite to the railway station Masarykovo nádraží. The building represents the important architectural period, has a façade, inspiration for which were palaces built in the style of early Italian Renaissance and has valued art and craft inventory of the interiors. The building is listed as a cultural monument, is located in Prague Historical Reserve and is as well a UNESCO monument.
In the building there are partially preserved authentic interiors with overhead paintwork, a three-flight suspended marble staircase in the main building, mosaic parquet flooring and numerous valuable items (chandeliers, lead glazings, Dutch stoves etc.) The building has two entrances; one of them is situated in the breezeway leading to the former garden of the building, which nowadays belongs to adjoining building.
The buildings are secured by EZS (electronic safety) system which is connected to the alarm receiving center of a security agency.
